INDICATIONS:
 
For the therapy of many forms of acute inflammation of the musculoskeletal system including traumatic injuries as well as for the long-term treatment of chronic soft and hard tissue inflammation. For analgesia in painful conditions, including visceral pain and for temperature reduction in febrile conditions of varied etiology.
 
Horses: arthritis bursitis contusions strains dislocations myositis neuritis rheumatic processes osteoarthritis osteites tendinitis and fever. In acute colic of any nature for rapid pain reduction and prevention of more serious injuries resulting from pain manifestation such as falls and shocks. In addition to facilitating other clinical procedures with the disappearance or reduction of pain.
 
Dogs: Acute and chronic inflammatory processes of soft tissue and hard trauma, surgical wounds and febrile conditions.
 
DOSAGE:
 
Horses: 1 to 2 ml (22 to 44 mg/kg) for every 100 kg of live weight exclusively by slow intravenous route every 24 hours or 48 hours.
 
Dogs: 1 mL (12 mg/kg) for every 15 kg of body mass intravenously slowly daily for 5 consecutive days.
 
Do not exceed the maximum daily mass dose of 800 mg for dogs and 4 g for horses.
The doses may be further modified according to the seriousness of the case and at the discretion of the Veterinarian.
 
ADMINISTRATION:
 
Apply intravenously.
 
 
PRECAUTIONS:
 
Prefer intravenous injections to intramuscular administration as phenylbutazone may cause irritation at the application site.
Slowly inject 10nL intravenously every 30 seconds.
There are potential risks of drug interactions when combining phenylbutazone with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory agents.
 
 
CONTRAINDICATION:
 
The use of the product in animals with a history of liver cardiovascular diseases, renal gastrointestinal ulcers and hypersensitivity to pyrazolonic derivatives in animals with hematological disorders should be avoided.
 
 
GRACE PERIOD:
 
Do not administer the product to horses destined for slaughter.
